Looking down the road we have travelled during these years, we can be proud of what we have created and achieved together. Although our first steps were not easy, like any new beginning, we were lucky to find a successful niche, where we gained recognition and success. Today, we can offer our customers an extremely wide range of products and top quality at an advantageous price. Reliability and development is the secret of our success. We are grateful to our long-term business partners and to all who contributed to the establishment of the printing house and have provided a brief history of our development here:
- CARIS Printing House was founded in Vilnius in 1994.
- Throughout 1995–1996, our production mainly consisted of:
- various paper labels
- cardboard labels for the textile industry
- packaging for the pharmaceutical industry.
- In 1999, an ARSOMA 510 E flexographic printing machine (manufactured by GALLUS, Switzerland) was installed.
- The range of products was supplemented with:
- polypropylene packaging for ice cream
- light cardboard packaging for the tobacco and pharmaceutical industries.
- In 1999, a new building was constructed:
- a new printing machine was installed
- equipment from the old building was moved
- cooperation with wine and spirits producers started.
- In 2001, a MANROLAND 305 5-colour printing machine with a flexographic section of water-dispersion varnishes, and hot foil and figurative cutting equipment were installed.
- In 2002, a BOBST automatic cutting machine was purchased.
- In 2007, the following equipment was installed:
- a SHIKI 8-colour offset web-fed UV ink printing machine
- 2 SMAG silkscreen printing machines
- cutting and rewinding equipment.
- In 2010, a MANROLAND 505 5-colour offset printing machine with a flexographic section of water-dispersion varnishes and an automatic spectrophotometer was purchased and installed.
- Printing on special 1 mm thick cardboard became possible, as an alternative to micro-gofro cardboard.
- A BOBST automatic cutting machine was renovated.
- In 2012, a GIETZ automatic hot foil machine was installed.
- A new GALLUS EM 430 S printing machine was installed including:
- 8 flexographic printing sections
- 2 silkscreen printing sections
- cold foil and laminating sections
- a cutting section.
